The National Board of Directors of the Italian League for the Fight against Cancer (LILT) has appointed Professor Antonio Giordano as a member of the National Scientific Committee. This decision was made during a meeting held on April 26th.

LILT, which is "Lega Italiana per la Lotta ai Tumori", founded in Rome, Italy in 1922, is a non-profit public entity that operates on association. Its main goal is cancer prevention; to educate people on how to prevent cancer as well as to help those who already have cancer.

"I thank the National President of LILT, Professor Francesco Schittulli, and all the members of the board," said Professor Giordano after receiving the news of his appointment, "for having honored me with the appointment to the Scientific Committee of the Italian League for the Fight Against Cancer. Fighting against cancer and ending cancer are the goals and vision that I am committed to dedicating my effort, passion, and energy."

Professor Antonio Giordano recently received the Leonardo Da Vinci award from the members of the Board of Directors of the Italian Heritage and Culture Committee-NY, Inc. for his professionalism and compassion toward the well-being of humanity through his life's work.
